The Arts! The Culture! The heritage!
Welcome back, my readers :D

You must be eager to find out what's today's topic on. Well, of course! A question for all of you readers out there, what is your general impression of people who loves the Arts? The Culture? The heritage?

Perception
Some may say that the Arts are only for the rich, people who are studying archeology will be interested in the artifacts left behind and foreigners will be interested in Singapore's culture. Well, it is true that arts were only affordable by the rich in the past. However, this idea have changed overtime and its admired by everyone.

In fact, today in present many people have started to develop a passion for what they themselves are interested in. Singaporeans are more aware of the different cultural aspects as they are more interested in finding out the dos and don't when communicating to different cultures. It is no longer just the tourists visiting Singapore who are curious about the culture here. Also, our forefathers have left us many buildings, buildings in which that we still see standing with special internal decorative design. Not only it amazes tourists, us Singaporeans are also amazed too!

So, we have manage to come up a general profile of travellers for this theme which is as shown below :

General profile of travellers

Age:
13 to 64

Gender:
Female (57%) and male (43%)

Types Of Visitors:
Tourist (37%) and locals (63%)

Common Tourist Visitors Countries:
Briton, Australian, American, India, Filipino, Indonesian, Thai, Malaysian, Japanese, Germans

Common interest:
History, Culture/Tradition, Art, Music, Antiques/Artifacts, Entertainment,Fashion, Religion, Architecture, Specialities, Others

Following on, we feel that there are still a handful of people who are not sure about Singapore's arts, culture and heritage. Namely the teenagers who are less interested in them unless their projects require them to visit places on arts, culture and heritages. It is better for teenagers to get to know Singapore as in the future, they will be able to relate to tourists who are here to find out more about Singapore.

Singapore's should also reach out to the adults, getting them to know more and in detailed of Singapore's culture and heritage. Also, exposing adults to new forms of art such as the modern contemporary arts, graffiti art etc. Lastly, not forgetting the tourists who visit Singapore too.

This is all for today folks!
